The speed of “highly forwarded” WhatsApp messages has declined by 70 percent. Earlier this month, WhatsApp introduced measures to address the spread of COVID-19 related misinformation. As a result, messages that have been forwarded by five or more people can now only be forwarded to a single person or group.
