Ever since social media consumption skyrocketed, thanks to many apps and websites like Snapchat and Instagram, a number of selfie smartphones in the market witnessed a significant rise. Continuing this trend, Chinese mobile brand Vivo today launched a new phone: the Vivo V5s. It is made for those who love to take selfies, offering a mammoth 20-megapixel selfie camera.
Vivo hasn’t done this first time, though. Previously, it launched a couple of selfie-focused handsets like V5 and V5s at Rs 17,980 and Rs 27,980 respectively. The most-recent V5s, however, costs Rs 18,990.
Design-wise, the Vivo V5s flaunts a unibody metal design. It measures 153.8mm in height, 75.5mm in width, 7.55mm in thickness, and weighs 154g. There’s also has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. It sports a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass layered on the top.
Inside is an octa-core 64-bit processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and packs a 3,000mAh battery. As far as photography is concerned, it houses a 13-megapixel main camera on the rear.
